Caring for the worlds poorest is the mission of Assist International, a charitable organization with emphasis on the development of Agriculture, Health and Education.
Austin J. de Bourg is the Founder and President of Assist International. He explains, “The world has changed, systems and methods have changed. The approach to reaching the world for Christ must also change by demonstrating the bigness of God to the world.” Embedded in his spirit is the Great commission given to all believers by Jesus Christ, which is the winning of souls that will come as a result of working the harvest. His deep conviction is, “The Kingdoms of this world must become the Kingdoms of our God”.
Assist International head office is located in Canada, with another office in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies (Caribbean).
Since the launch of Assist International last year, God opened up the doors to two of the world’s poorest nations – Haiti in the Caribbean and Malawi in Central Africa.
Within these nations, the majority of its citizens live in extreme poverty, resulting in high incidences of early deaths and numerous diseases as a result of inhumane living conditions.
The work to be done is very great and so an open invitation is extended to all to partner with us in helping to alleviate poverty in the poorest nations of the world.
